The RCM-502 dryer is used to complete wash water removal from respirators. The dryer will hold two racks (12-24) of washed respirators. 110°f-120°f heated air is blown across the respirators in the drying chamber at a rate of 150 CFM. The air is recirculated through the heater element and returned to the drying chamber. 70 CFM air is exhausted from the dryer to remove moisture with room ambient supplying makeup air. An optional 4" duct adapter is available for exhausting dryer to an exhaust ventilation system.
The dryer has two heat-input levels of 750 and 1500 watts automatically controlled by the indicating, adjustable controller. Temperature is operator selectable, but is normally set at 120°F (or respirator manufacturers recommended drying temperature). High-limit heater shutdown is initiated at 140°F by a separate high-limit controller.
Dryer time for two full racks or respirators averages 30 minutes if residual wash water is vacuumed from respirators prior to drying. A 0-60 minute adjustable timer switch provides on-off and timing functions for the dryer. Contains no asbestos. designed to be mounted on RCM-501 washer or may be placed on a table top.
