85 GALLON DRUM HOOD FOR MAC-21D, P/N FM41
This capture velocity drum hood offers a pre-engineered control for personnel and environmental safety and protection.
The capture velocity drum hood attachment for the MAC-21D facilitates the opening and inspection of 85 gallon drums. The hood incorporates a clear viewing section that extends completely over the drum top, or may be retracted to about 1/2 of the drum top to facilitate access or inspection of drum contents.
Air flow is drawn into the hood, over the drum top at a capture velocity of about 85 FPM. A screen and prefilter installed in the hood arrest material or particles that enter the MAC inlet plenum.
In operation, the MAC -21D with the Drum Hood is located in positioned over the drum. A large poly bag is taped to the front of the drum. The unit is started and the drum lid retainer and drum lid (or bung) is removed and slipped into the poly bag. After inspection or sampling, the lid is slipped from the poly bag and placed back into the drum and secured.
